Nanci is a 1998 graduate of the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge. She is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), a professional member of the Society for Oncolgy Massage ( S4OM) and is a state licensed massage therapist. Nanci has maintained a full time massage therapy practice since 1998, beginning in Marblehead and moving to the Valley in 2000, to be a co founder of The Healing ZONE Therapeutic Massage.

A proud Chamber of commerce member in Amherst and Northampton.

She has advanced her massage therapy training with certifications in:

  • Prenatal Massage (during pregnancy, labor and after the birth)
  • Oncology Massage (caring for clients with cancer)

Nanci was a junior high school band director for 10 years before entering the field of massage therapy. She enjoys traveling to offer her skills as a teaching assistant in two intensive continuing education courses Pre - Perinatal Massage with Carole Osborne and Safe, effective massage for People Living with Cancer with Tracy Walton. Nanci was also an adjunct faculty at Springfield Technical Community College last semester.

Nanci always enjoys participating in community activities such as the MS Walk on Team Remy, the Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage and Bills Challenge Trikeathlon for the Cancer Connection to name a few.

A musician and juggler, Nanci is proud to share her passion and zest for life with all she meets.

Janice Peterman, LCMT

Janice is a 2008 graduate of the Stillpoint Therapeutic Massage Program. She is an active professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and a state licensed massage therapist.

She has advanced her massage therapy training with certifications in:

  • Prenatal Massage (during pregnancy, throughout labor and after the birth)
  • Infant Massage Instruction (small group or individual lessons)
  • Oncology Massage (caring for clients with cancer)
  • Heated Stone massage

Janice volunteers her massage therapy skills on the bicycle riders of the Pan Mass Challenge Jimmy Fund ride at the Mass Maritime Academy in each summer. She is also a member of the Mounted Search and Rescue Team of the Franklin County Community Emergency Response Team. Janice and The Healing ZONE team completed her first race last September in the Smith Fun Fit 5K.

Ed Connor, LMT

Ed graduated from Springfield Technical Community College with a degree in Massage Therapy in 2006.  Since then he has been sole operator / practitioner of a mobile massage practice, A Touch of Comfort Therapeutic Massage, based in West Springfield, MA.  While his regular clientele is primarily tradesmen, members of law enforcement and the military, Ed’s skills are used to comfort those in a wide variety of settings. 

Ed offers deep tissue, active and passive stretching, Swedish, sports, and integrated rehabilitative massage.  Additional classes since graduation have included:

  • pregnancy massage
  • isolated stretching

To actively support the community, Ed lends his skills and gives his heart to a variety of causes and events including:

  • Baystate VNA Hospice, working with individuals and their families facing end of life
  • Noble Hospital 5k Run for a Noble Cause and Good Health
  • Relay For Life
  • Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (2011, Springfield, MA and 2009, Suffield, CT)
  • Vets Connexion (serving those who have served via military deployment)

Ed approaches every massage with kindness, pure intention, compassion and a peaceful demeanor.  His motto is to comfort those in need through the art and science of human touch.  Every session is tailored to the needs of the client at that time, and combines several different methods of touch to provide a truly beneficial massage each time.

Ed is married, with 3 grown sons. He and his wife (a Certified Nurse Midwife) live in West Springfield.
